CASA/GAL seeks volunteers to advocate for children

Since 1988, Wood County CASA/GAL volunteers have advocated on behalf of children who have experienced abuse, neglect or dependency by gathering information about them for the juvenile court. The volunteers serve a crucial role in keeping the court informed on the children’s well-being, placement and needed services.

Suspect in April 8 chase indicted by a Wood County grand jury

A suspect who led Rossford and Perrysburg Township police on an April 8 chase that began at the Home Depot in Rossford and ended at the Hamlet subdivision on River Road in Perrysburg Township has been indicted On May 1, a Wood County grand jury indicted Gerald Hunt, 38, of Toledo, on one count of failure to comply with an order of a police officer, a third-degree felony; vandalism, a felony of the fifth degree, and felonious assault, a first-degree felony.

County jail receives Clean Plate Award

The Wood County jail has received a 2023 “Clean Plate Award” by the Wood County Health Department. The award is presented to fully licensed kitchen facilities that have been dedicated to excellent sanitation and food safety knowledge.

Intersection Glass Program call for proposals now open
