RHS bowlers receive honors

The Inaugural Northern Buckeye Conference Bowling Tournament was held recently at Al-Mar Lanes.The Maumee boys and the Eastwood girls won the first NBC league championships.

The Ohio Prep Sports Media Association recently announced its All-Ohio boys basketball team honors.Rossford High School student-athlete JJ Greer, sophomore, received allstate honorable mention.

Two Rossford students have been selected for the Northern Buckeye Conference Girls Basketball All-League.Sophomore Alex Swartz was selected for the NBC 2nd Team center position.Junior Layla Nowak was named an NBC Honorable Mention.

The Freedom Township Men’s Club celebrated their 35th anniversary on May 28 at the American Legion Hall, Post 454, at Ridgeville Corners, Ohio. Founded in 1987 by a few communityminded individuals, its Sports Night Event drew a crowd of over 400 people this year.
