Dear Editor:
Just wanted to put my two cents worth in regarding the coach who was dismissed from his coaching job because he wouldn’t break his rules.
1. He’s been a coach for 20-some years? He must have been doing something right.
2. One parent’s complaint that he wouldn’t break the rules, those rules that parent had already read, agreed with and signed?
3. One parent’s complaint against this coach was taken into consideration so highly over all those parents and students who support this coach and his rules?
4. Appears someone does get their way if they complain loudly enough?
5. Seems that old cliche might be true “not what you know, but who you know?” I feel from reading the stories in the Messenger, a great injustice was done to this coach.
Not a student, nor a parent of a student, nor married to anyone connected to the school system, just a concerned citizen who wondered why one parent’s opinion was taken so highly over so many others? Barbara Brenneman back to top
