GLORIA J. DUNN
Gloria J. Dunn, 84, of Holland, died Saturday, August 28, 2010, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo facility. She was employed in the clerical field for 40 years, retiring in 1986. She volunteered in the surgical unit at St. Anne’s Hospital for six years and was a member of the Over 55 Club. She also was active in her senior living community where she played Bingo each week and volunteered at the Thrift Shop. She is survived by her sister Sue (Robert) Foust of Westerville, Ohio; grandchildren Terilynn Mullinger and Beth Marie Howatt; great-grandchildren Casey, Bri, Hailee, Mandy, Riley, Zachary, Matthew and Jonathan; former son-inlaw, Walt Wilson; stepdaughter, Pam Joe Houser of Syracuse, Indiana, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dunn and sister, Doris Frazier. A Committal Service was held Saturday, September 4, at Toledo Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests doations to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.


KATHLEEN FIRSDON
Kathleen Firsdon, 62, of Holland, died Sunday, August 29, 2010. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Firsdon is survived by her husband of 41 years, Gerald “Jerry” Firsdon; daughters, Sandi Arredondo and Brenda Firsdon; sons, Craig (Leslie) Firsdon and David (Paula) Firsdon; grandchildren, Sammy, Nico, Hailey, Emma, Jacob, Spencer and Breanna, and sister, Pat (Ralph) Basinger. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Firsdon. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 2, in the Neville Funeral Home, Holland. Burial was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John’s Transportation Department.


WILLIE LEE SCOTT
Willie Lee “Aunt T” Scott, 87, of Holland, died Sunday, August 29, 2010, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo facility. She was a member of Peoples Missionary Baptist Church, where she was the former president of the Pastor’s Aide Club. Prior to retirement, she was employed for more than 40 years in the housekeeping department of St. Vincent Hospital. She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie “BJ” (Allen) Tucker of Taylor, Michigan, Carolyn (Michael) Jenkins, Carrie Lyons, and Jacqueline Scott; daughter-in-law, Lucy Scott, all of Toledo; 11 grandchildren; 25 greatgrandchildren; and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Scott. Wake services were held Friday, September 3, in the C. Brown Funeral Home, Inc., Toledo. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 4, at Peoples Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Sylvester Madison officiating.


ROGER TUMEY
Roger J. Tumey, 90, of Springfield Township, died Saturday, August 28, 2010, at Windhaven Eldercare Center. A U.S. Army veteran, he served during World War II. He worked for the Jeep Corp. for 30 years, retiring in 1977. Listening to Big Band music was one of his favorite pastimes. He is survived by his children, James (Laura) Tumey, of Riga, Michigan, Lawrence and Kathy Tumey, both of Toledo, and Lori Tumey, of Petersburg, Michigan; grandchildren, Lindsey and Cody Horvath, and sister, Carma Kaufman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Patricia. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 1, at the Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania. Interment was in Marygrove Cemetery. Donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
